On 13 September 2021 Forward Slope, Inc. (FSI) was awarded the Peregrine Phase II SBIR Task as the supporting corporate Team Member to the SoarTech Prime. This SBIR Phase II work will support NAVAIR’s interest in improving air and strike situation awareness, tactical planning, and plan assessment by providing 4D spatial temporal geographically referenced overlays that are compatible with the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) and other related planning, assessment, and situation awareness tools.

On September 30, 2021, Forward Slope, Inc. was notified that it was an awardee of the Enterprise Personnel Systems Engineering MAC IDIQ by the Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC Pacific), with a lifetime value of up to $60M. This contract effort targets obtaining (through issuing Tasks), systems engineering, software engineering, and life-cycle support for developing and sustaining business systems and enterprise information systems for Navy, DoD, Foreign Military Sales, and Federal agencies.

On August 26, 2021, Forward Slope, Inc. (FSI) was recognized as a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s 2021 Best Places to Work in San Diego for the 11th year. Members of the FSI Operations Leadership Team virtually attended the annual award ceremony. Of the four Corporate Awardee Categories (Small, Medium, Large and Mega), FSI finished 14th of the 43 selected Finalists in the Medium Category, in only the second year FSI was eligible to compete at this level.

In an ongoing Annual Program, FSI Team Lead, Mrs. Shruti Ghate summarized the FSI-OLP Robotics Program 2021 as a successful Season. Under Mrs. Ghate mentorship, and supported by four FSI Engineers Clay Rivetti, Betty Lin, Darren Tung, and Jake Eklund who were the Technical Mentors, an OLP High School student engineering team competed for two Robotics Program awards in 2021.
