FSI Awarded $5.8 Million Contract to Provide Naval Integrated Tactical Environmental System Next Generation Software Development
SAN DIEGO - August 7, 2012 - Forward Slope, Inc. (FSI) announced today it was awarded a $5.8 million Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center Pacific contract. This task provides for the design, development and testing of the NITES-Next software components. The effort will leverage existing Naval Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) software provided by Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (NMOC) in support of NITES-Next Initial Operational Capability (IOC) requirements. NITES-Next enables seamless access by the warfighting community, and the METOC professionals who support them, to mission-relevant environmental and environmental impact data, information, and expertise.
